ASTM A36 Flat Steel is a low-carbon structural steel flat steel of ASTM standard A36/A36M-03a. It is widely used in many fields such as construction, bridges, vehicle manufacturing and heavy equipment manufacturing around the world for its excellent mechanical properties, weldability and economy.

Chemical composition

1. Carbon (C): ≤0.25%

2. Silicon (Si): ≤0.40%

3. Manganese (Mn): 0.80%-1.20%

4. Phosphorus (P): ≤0.04%

5. Sulfur (S): ≤0.05%

6. Copper (Cu): When copper is specified, the content is 0.20% 1

Mechanical properties

1. Yield strength: ≥36 ksi (about 250 MPa)
